Uniform

As part of promoting our positive school ethos, we encourage our learners at Braidburn to wear school uniform.

Learners should bring a jacket, suitable for outdoor play, into school; and it is very helpful for learners to have a change of clothes available in school.

Our school uniform consists of a navy or red sweatshirt, white, red or navy polo shirt and dark trousers or a skirt. For our senior phase pupils, a red or navy hoodie can be worn if preferred.

We recognise that comfort and independence is important to our pupils, and therefore leggings and elasticated waist are a good choice if you feel this is appropriate for your child or young person.

Uniform can be a useful signifier that we are going to school in the morning. It can also be a good way to ensure our ‘at home’ clothing does not get messy when we have fun days in school with sensory activities and outdoor play.

School Uniform items can be plain or embroidered with the school logo.  Parents and Carers have choice of buying these clothing items from a range of suppliers including supermarkets, stores and specialist suppliers like LogoXpres, Global Apparel, BE Uniforms, Superlogo, Stevenson Group, Image Scotland.

If you have any further questions you would like to ask, or to enquire about pre-loved uniforms or clothing grants which are available, please do get in touch with our school office.
