From assisting with eating, providing and maintaining communication aids, facilitating social groups to encourage communication and beyond, our Speech Language Therapy team provides a great deal of support and assistance throughout Braidburn.

Braidburn is a Total Communication school, which means that each pupils is enabled to communicate to the fullest extent, using a variety of means – from low-tech options such as using the Picture Exchange Communication System and other symbols to high-tech options including the use of digital communication aids such as Dynavox, MyTobii and Springboards, as well as the use of Signalongthroughout the school, in order to ensure all communication is inclusive.

Our speech language therapy team consists of SLTs Julie, Aoife and Marie and SLT Assistants Margaret and Carol.
