Braidburn School provides a positive learning environment for pupils aged 2½ to 18 years with additional support needs. Pupils’ have complex, long term additional support needs and require a significantly modified learning environment. Needs of learners are primarily associated with learning disability and significant visual/sensory, health and medical needs. The school is situated in the south-west of Edinburgh and is part of the Firrhill Campus along with Oxgangs Primary School and Firrhill Secondary School. Our pupils come to Braidburn from all over Edinburgh and East, West and Midlothian.

Braidburn is a multidisciplinary school and staff include teachers, nursery nurses, learning assistants, speech and language therapist, occupational therapists and physiotherapists. Medical personnel are also on campus. Facilities in Braidburn include a soft play room, sensory area, therapy rooms, medical suite, dental room, hydrotherapy pool, gym facilities, an ICT suite and a conference room.
