The students in Tweed class have been enjoying listening to Scottish stories. They really like the Nessie story delivered to them by the VI department. They also use technology to access stories about Tam O’Shanter, Robert the Bruce and the spider and Mary Queen of Scots.
Tweed class joined the City of Edinburgh library service. They visited Oxgangs Library every Monday and explored the facilities a City of Edinburgh library has to offer.
The Tweed class really like technology so accessing the information services and self-service machine were real highlights. The class showed responsibility by remembering their books and library cards for each visit.
These are skills and experiences that they can use when they leave school.
The Tweed class enjoyed their trips to Oxgangs Library and would like to say a big thank you to the staff there! They are now developing their independence and life skills further with shopping trips to Tesco.
